Rapid Thin Ice Rescue with Minimal Equipment

This action packed 12 minute DVD describes a method to rescue victims trapped in thin ice with only a rope and a backboard. Written by Guy Bull (lifeguard, Inflatable Rescue Boat Technician and rescue boat service manager) it explores the characteristics of thin ice, the mechanics of why people become trapped, dangers of hypothermia, how to determine if a rapid/risky rescue is necessary and then describes the rapid thin ice rescue technique.
